Brittany and Cynthia Daniel have always done everything together, and that hasn’t changed since the day it began.
According to People, the girls said that Cynthia had given her eggs to Brittany, her sister, after a lengthy quarrel with cancer and treatment left her unable to give birth to a healthy kid.
Who are twins Brittany Daniel and Cynthia Daniel?
Brittany and Cynthia are identical twin actresses who have appeared on the Sweet Valley High teen drama, both of whom were born in Gainesville, Florida on March 17. Brad, their older brother, is their only sibling.
The Ford Agency signed both girls at the age of 11 and launched their career as models. They’ve been in a slew of publications, including Seventeen and YM. They’ve also appeared in commercials for Doublemint gum.
In a 1987 episode of The New Leave It to Beaver, the two were seen on television for the first time. Cynthia played Elizabeth Wakefield in the television series Sweet Valley High, based on the Francine Pascal book series, from 1994 to 1997. Brittany portrayed Elizabeth’s twin, Jessica Wakefield, in the same time period.
Sweet Valley High was first aired in the United States on television, and the siblings made their cinematic debut in The Basketball Diaries during the program’s run. Cynthia, on the other hand, decided to retire from acting in 1997 to pursue photography full-time when Sweet Valley High was canceled.
She hasn’t appeared in any episodes of That ’90s Show since then, despite the fact that she was seen in one with twin sister Brittany back in 2002.
Who are the twins married to and do they have children?
Cynthia’s spouse is actor Cole Hauser, who has played the park’s main guide in several productions. The pair has two sons, Ryland and Colt, as well as a daughter, Steely Rose.
Brittany shared her story to promote awareness and prevent people from making the same mistakes she did. Brittany dated actor Keenen Ivory Wayans for five years before getting married to Adam Touni in 2017. Following Cynthia’s donation of the egg, Brittany gave birth to a daughter, Hope Rose Touni, on October 24, 2021.
Why did Cynthia donate her egg to Brittany?
Cynthia didn’t wait long to provide her own eggs to Brittany, her sister, when she was diagnosed with stage IV non-lymphoma Hodgkin’s disease and learned that she might never be able to have children on her own.
“I saw it as such a simple gift I could give to her,” Cynthia told People. “I know Brittany would do it in a split second for me. And we’ve always shared everything, so why not this?”
Brittany revealed that she had always dreamed of being the first in her family to marry and have children, but with her cancer diagnosis, this goal was put on hold.
Brittany said that after coming out of her battle and healing, “I couldn’t believe this was all over. When I emerged from the cage, there weren’t many people waiting to greet me like they had when I went in there.”
Brittany was informed by a reproductive expert that she had a lower egg reserve as a consequence of the harsh treatment and that getting pregnant on her own would be tough. She spoke to Cole about it after, and Cynthia and her twin sister agreed to donate their eggs right away.
Finally, in October, Brittany and Adam Touni welcomed their daughter Hope.
