Smile is a 2022 American psychological horror film written and directed by Parker Finn, based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. Sosie Bacon stars as a therapist in the film who, afterseeing the suicide of one patient, starts to experience196e very daunting and strange things herself.
She eventually comes to believe that what she is going through might be supernatural. Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan all have roles in the movie too.
The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. The jumpscares, concept, production qualities, sound design, and Bacon’s performance were all praised. Some individuals felt that the movie was derivative of other horror films such as It Follows and The Ring.
Where To Stream ‘Smile’ Movie?
Smile movie’s world premiere occurred on September 22, 2022, at Fantastic Fest. Subsequently, screenings happened at Beyond Fest on September 27 of that same year.
According to Paramount Pictures President and CEO Brian Robbins, Smile was going to be released solely through streaming on Paramount+, but because test audiences enjoyed it so much, the studio decided to also release it in theatres. In the United States, Smile will come out on September 30th, 2022.

Smile Movie Synopsis
At a psychiatric ward, psychiatrist Dr. Rose Cotter meets recently admitted patient Laura Weaver, a PhD student who witnessed her professor commit suicide. Following the suicide, Rose witnesses a vulnerable patient called Carl smiling at her and shouting that she is going to die.
After Laura’s professor smiled at her during his death, Rose paid a visit to his widow Victoria. Victoria claimed that her husband started acting differently after witnessing a woman commit suicide.
Moreover, the official synopsis reads as, “After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.”
