Walmart has stated that it will restock its first next-generation console in April, and it appears to be a big one. This week, Walmart said it would have restocks for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. You won’t want to miss out on this drop whether you’re shopping for a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One.

On Thursday, February 24, Walmart will re-stock the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The restock is expected to last at least an hour, with new stock being released every 10 minutes as usual.

There’s no need to guess about this drop since it is provided by the retailer itself. Walmart’s product listings were updated with a note confirming the date and time of this restock over the weekend. Matt Swider of The Shortcut also verified the information, providing further evidence.

Restocks will be held exclusively for Walmart Plus members. The yearly membership is $98, but there’s also a $12.95/month option. There is also a free trial available; however, you’ll only be able to access these restocks if you have a paid Walmart Plus membership.

Walmart Restock Event: Tips

The first thing you should do is register for a Walmart.com account if you don’t already have one. Enter your address and credit card information so that you can check out quickly if you obtain a console. You’ll also want to know what landing pages Walmart has set up for the PS5.

When Walmart debuts the consoles, you’ll have to act quickly to secure a console and purchase it. It’s worth noting, though, that Walmart tends to restock inventory every 10 to 15 minutes.

So if you don’t get a console on your first try, keep trying. Generally speaking, Walmart restocks have lasted anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours in length. As a result, it’s smart not to leave and keep attempting.

Many consumers have said that including the PS5 to their list has aided them in obtaining a PS5. To do so, log into your Walmart account and go to the PS5 product page at Walmart.

Underneath the console’s picture, click the “add to list” symbol. After that, you’ll be prompted to give a name to your wish list.

The next time Walmart restocks its PS5 consoles, you should be able to add it to your cart using your wish list (instead of visiting the product page and waiting for it to appear in stock).

Again, this strategy may not work for everyone, but it has before. If you don’t want to join Walmart Plus, don’t despair. We should see more restocks throughout the next few weeks.
