Vanessa Forero is a British-Colombian singer-songwriter who became viral after the first episode in the new series of “Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild” which airs on Channel 5. She has set up home in the very country where her mother, Marina Chapman, said she was brought up by a family of “about 20 capuchin monkeys”.

The show is broadcasted on Channel 5 documented Vanessa’s life story as she settled down in the same country where her mother, Marina Chapman and claimed to have been raised by a group of around 20 capuchin monkeys.

Marina Chapman’s life took a drastic turn when she was kidnapped at the age of four or five from a remote village in her native Colombia. In an interview, she revealed that her memories prior to the kidnapping were completely lost. She said in an interview with Telegraph & Argus,

“I must have been kidnapped, because I remember someone putting their hand over my face. Kidnapping is common in Colombia. There is no baby registration and children go missing all the time.”
After surviving experiences with gigantic pythons, spiders, big predators, and deserted in the rainforest, Mrs. Chapman was eventually adopted by the monkey family. During her five years of survival with the colony, she explains in the book how she relied on her innate abilities to climb trees and hunt wild creatures with little more than her bare hands.
“My life had become all about sounds and emotions. And ‘missions’. Missions to find food. Missions to find company. Missions to find a safe place to hide if there was danger.”

Marina Chapman’s Life After Jungle
After being found by hunters, Mrs. Chapman was sold to a brothel for a parrot. She was whipped for being on her hands and knees before she managed to escape and was then put to work. She saved over 40 years ago when a family took her in as a maid.

After that, they sent her to an English city to cook for their children, where she met the man who would become her husband. They tied the knot in 1977 even though she barely spoke English and he barely spoke Spanish. In an Instagram post she stated,
“Absolutely loved filming for ‘New Lives In The Wild. I remember watching them load into my rustic bamboo entrance… 3 big city trucks full of pro filming gear, pro crew and clean clothes, feeling the contrast of the two worlds and feeling so grateful; how life finds you in the funniest places when you don’t even try…and sometimes don’t even need to leave home (even when you live in the middle of a jaguar reserve with no one around).
