T. J. Holmes is an American journalist who was born in West Memphis, Arkansas. He began his television career at KSNF Channel 16 in Joplin, Missouri and later on moved on to KNTV, the NBC O&O station, in 2013. In Oct 2006, he joined CNN as a news anchor and correspondent.
In 2008, Holmes covered the historic first papal visit to the United States of Pope Benedict XIV and also contributed to CNN’s coverage of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, in 2010.
T. J. Holmes has appeared on MSNBC on several occasions as a substitute anchor, in 2012 and made a brief return to the Turner family of networks. He was made the permanent co-anchor of World News Now, in 2014 and later joined GMA3: What You Need to Know as co-anchor, in 2020. He also hosted, ‘DON’T SLEEP!’. As of 2022, his net worth is estimated to be $1 million.
