T.J. Dillashaw is an American professional mixed martial artist who is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he competes in the bantamweight division and is a former UFC Bantamweight Champion. He began wrestling while attending Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp, California, where he won a state championship in 2003. Dillashaw continued his wrestling career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, redshirting his first year before compiling a record of 21–6 during his collegiate career. After graduating from college, Dillashaw embarked on a career in mixed martial arts (MMA). Moreover, in 2019, he received a two-year suspension and made his comeback in 2021.

Dillashaw made his professional MMA debut in 2010, and won his first eight fights before signing with the UFC in December 2011. He made his UFC debut in March 2012 at UFC 143, winning via unanimous decision. Dillashaw subsequently won four more UFC bouts, including a split decision victory over Mike Easton in October 2013 that earned him his first Performance of the Night bonus award.

In January 2014, it was announced that Dillashaw would be a coach on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate, which premiered in April 2014. In the show’s finale later that year, he defeated former WEC Bantamweight Champion and current UFC Flyweight Champion Cody Garbrandt by technical knockout in the second round to become the new UFC Bantamweight Champion.
