The mansion was built in 1890 by John Mouat. The mansion is built in 8,500 square foot. Seventeen-year-old girl runs away in 1970 and is raped and strangled to death by an unknown assailant. Her friend, 18 years old, stumbles across the murder scene and is promptly shot by the killer. The case has never been solved but paranormal activity in the building today is allegedly blamed on that fateful event. Also, in the mansion haunting incidents, including sightings of a young woman heard regularly. Often, phantom footsteps are also heard.

Madison Dry Goods (Madison, North Carolina)

In 1929, this place’s spooky history dates back to Christmas Day. It is believed in this place, a tobacco farmer Charlie Lawson murdered his wife and six of his seven children before killing himself. Also, Charlie had sex with his eldest daughter Marie while he was under the influence of something evil. This led to her getting pregnant. In order to try and fix things, Charlie took the drastic step of marrying her.

Captain Grant’s Inn (Preston, Connecticut)

This mansion was built 268 years ago in 1754. This is built by Captain Grant. He died during an expedition, leaving behind his wife, Mercy Adelaide, who also passed away in the 1800s. Upon delving into the grounds, the team discovered a buried copper pentagram. Information suggests that the artefact is from the 1600s and belonged to Jonathan Brewster – who owned the land during that time. He was a known practitioner of the occult and his dark magic potentially enveloped the area in an eerie darkness.
