Following the sudden death of successful entrepreneur Ian Thorpe’s former long-term partner Ryan Channing in Bali at the age of 32, his family has announced that they will seek answers. Channing, a model and lawyer from Perth, Western Australia, was taken to a local hospital on Sunday, where he subsequently died. He resided in Australia but frequently traveled to Indonesia’s holiday island and Los Angeles for business.
On Wednesday, Channing revealed the shock death of his “lovely huge brother” Ryan in a heartfelt post. He concluded the message by expressing that Ryan’s death wasn’t Covid-related, as he recently acquired infected with the virus.
‘Seeing as the news headlines beat my whole family to posting about this unfortunate time in our lives, it’s with a heavy heart I announce that my brother Ryan has recently passed away on Sunday the 8th of May at 32 years of age,’ Jake wrote.
‘As we seek answers and try come to terms with the heartbreaking loss of my beautiful big brother, we ask for your prayers, support and privacy, he will be forever loved, never forgotten and forever young.
‘To my big brother, I love you, I’ll see you one day soon you’ll be missed more than you know.’ Their Perth-based sister Charis wrote: ‘Saying goodbye to you on Sunday was the hardest thing my family and I have ever had to do. 32 years young, you’re gone too soon.
‘As we seek answers and try come to terms with the heartbreaking loss of my brother, we ask for your prayers, support and privacy. ‘I know you will be looking down on us and we love you lots.’ Charis also shared the tribute on her Instagram stories with the caption ‘Heartbroken’. Ryan Channing Career Explored
Ryan Channing has also been making progress on his political aspirations, having announced last July that he was filming a pilot for a new reality series on Netflix in Los Angeles called The Skintrepreneurs. Before going to university to pursue commerce, marketing, intellectual property and international law, Channing worked as a model in New York, Paris, and Milan before spending time abroad studying.
