On July 27, 2022, the Bogalusa Police Department announced on Facebook that they had received a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Superior Avenue, Bogalua. One victim was taken to hospital and another victim remained at the scene with critical injuries, according to the agency. According to the family, another gun had been discharged in a different location, perhaps linked to the initial incident in Superior Avenue. Scott’s sister and the Bogalusa Police Department identified him as one of the fatalities, and both parties later confirmed that he had perished as a result of his injuries.
