Randolph Rouse, Audrey Meadows’s Ex-Husband, Dies at 88

Randolph Rouse, the ex-husband of actress Audrey Meadows and a prominent figure in the real estate industry, died on Thursday at his home in Rye, New York. He was 88.

The cause was heart failure, said his son, Richard

Mr. Rouse and Ms. Meadows were married for 12 years, until her death in 1996. They had two children together, Jennifer and Timothy.

Mr. Rouse was born on March 17, 1930, in Manhattan and grew up in Brooklyn. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and then attended Syracuse University on the G.I. Bill, graduating with a degree in economics in 1955.

He began his career as a real estate broker and soon became a leading figure in the industry. In the 1960s, he was one of the first brokers to specialize in commercial properties in Manhattan.
