With the upcoming bank holiday weekend falling between June 2nd and 5th, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. While some stores may be closed on these dates, shopaholics should take note that one of the country’s favorite fast-fashion companies will remain open over the festive period. Primark Stores Remain Open: Jubilee Weekend
Primark shops are expected to remain open on the Jubilee weekend, so you won’t have to stop purchasing. Use the Store Locator on the retailer’s website to see whether your local Primark shop will be open from June 2nd through June 5th, 2022.
Bank Holiday Hours
Reduced opening hours will apply this weekend. Some Primark shops will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m., while others won’t open until 10 a.m., closing at 5 p.m.. What day is Queen’s Platinum Jubilee?
On Thursday, June 2, the formal celebrations will conclude with a grand finale at Buckingham Palace, where approximately 3 million people are expected to watch the queen and her family (including extended royal family) ride in an open-top bus down The Mall. This will be followed by a fly-past of over 100 RAF aircraft.
