She gained experience in reporting by working for WHYY and Metro Network. From 2004 to 2011, she worked part-time as a professor at Temple University. In 2011, she joined NPR, where her partner had also worked in the past.
The couple’s connection started back to 2004 when Windsor Johnston interviewed Bob Edwards about his second book, ‘Edward R. Murrow and the Birth of Broadcast Journalism’.
