Shayna Andrea Baszler is an American professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, U.S. She is also known as ‘The Queen of Spades’ and one of the true pioneers of women’s MMA, as well as a member of the MMA Four Horsewomen faction alongside the likes of Ronda Rousey. Currently, she signed to WWE performing on the NXT Brand. Josh Barnett former UFC fighter trained Baszler. In 2006, she had her first professional fight and gained fame and nationwide attention in the following years for the use of her hammerlock submission set-up while on her back and a set-up which she has used to submit several opponents, including Roxanne Modafferi. In 2013, Baszler was signed by the UFC to participate as a part of the reality television series ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ under Ronda Rousey.
