Meet Actress Behind Turning Red’s Miriam
Miriam is Meilin ‘Mei’ Lee’s best buddy and is voiced by Ava Morse, a fresh voice in the voice-over industry. Since she was five years old, Ava Morse has been performing professionally on stage, making her one of the youngest actors in history to do so.
As well as being a dancer and singer, she is also a songwriter and vocalist who debuted in 2018 with her debut EP Close My Eyes. In 2019, she released her debut EP Close My Eyes. Her songs can be found on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.

Ming is Mei’s domineering and overbearing mother, who runs the main Chinese temple in Toronto. Sandra Oh plays Ming, a role she is best known for as Dr. Christina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy and Eve Polastri in Killing Eve.
She has also appeared in Netflix’s The Chair, Amazon’s animated series Invincible, Raya and the Last Dragon, and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Ava Morse As Miriam

Priya is an Indo-Canadian friend of Mei’s who delivers her lines with a deadpan delivery. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who played Devi in the Netflix comedy Never Have I Ever, voices Priya. The series was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 as part of its conclusion.
Hyein Park As Abby
Abby is Mei’s Korean-Canadian buddy who always has her back and believes she’s cute as a red panda. Abby is voiced by Hyein Park, who works primarily as a Pixar storyboard artist and has worked on features such as Toy Story 4, the short film Bao, and Soul. Her voice acting debut was in Turning Red.

Wai Ching Ho as Mei’s grandmother – Wei Ching Ho plays Ming’s mother and Mei’s grandmother. She’s a strict woman who is easily disappointed. Jordan Fisher as Robaire – Robaire is one of the members of the boy band 4*Town and its lead singer. Jordan Fisher is best known for his roles in To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Teen Wolf, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Bart Allen (aka, Impulse) on The Flash.
Josh Levi as Aaron Z. – Aaron Z. is a member of 4*Town. Josh Levi is known for roles in Friday Night Lights and the series Royal Crush.
Topher Ngo as Aaron T. – Aaron T. is the second Aaron in 4*Town. Turning Red is Topher Ngo’s first acting role.
Finneas O’Connell as Jesse – Jesse is the fourth member of 4*Town. Finneas O’Connell co-wrote the boy band’s songs. He’s best known for roles in Glee, Modern Family, and Bad Teacher.
