He began his career as a high school English teacher and basketball coach. He later worked as an insurance agent and financial planner. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, golfing, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers.

‘Friends’ Actor Mike Hagerty Passes Away

As per Variety, Mike passed away on Thursday in Los Angeles. He was 67. On Friday, Bridget Everett, who played Mike’s on-screen daughter in Somebody Somewhere, announced the sad news on Instagram.

“It is with great sadness that the family of Michael G. Hagerty announced his passing yesterday in Los Angeles,” she wrote. Mike’s passion for his native city of Chicago and his family were the foundations of his existence. Mike, a devoted spouse, is survived by Mary Kathryn, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty, her wife Kathleen O’Rourke, and their daughter Meg. He will be sorely missed,” Bridget’s blog stated.

The cause of the death is not known yet. On FX’s “The Americans,” Joe LoTruglio played Mike, the apartment complex superintendent who was in charge of the largest portion of the main cast. He also appeared on Fox’s “The George Carlin Show” and HBO’s “Lucky Louie.”
