Mark Humphries is the dad of Luke Humphries an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the current World Champion and often known as “Cool Hand Luke” who is the current winner of the Players Championship Finals, the World Grand Prix, and the Grand Slam of Darts. The 2019 PDC World Youth Championship was also won by him.

In 2019, Humphries won the Development Tour Order of Merit. He became the oldest player in PDC World Youth Championship history to win the title at the age of 24 when he defeated Adam Gawlas 6-1.
Humphries suffered a shock 3–2 first round defeat to veteran Paul Lim, in the 2021 World Championship. He reached the fourth round, before losing 4–1 to Stephen Bunting, in the 2023 World Championship. He won his first major title at the 2023 World Grand Prix, defeating tournament favourite Gerwyn Price, 5–2 in the final, in Oct 2023.

At the 2023 Players Championship Finals, Humphries triumphed over Michael van Gerwen for the first time in his career, 11–9, before taking the match on double 1. Humphries won the PDC World Darts Championship 7–4 against Luke Littler in the final, on 3 January, 2024.
