Mike Megill signed with the Mets and made his professional debut with the Brooklyn Cyclones, pitching 28 relief innings and going 1–2 with a 3.21 ERA. During the year, he started out with the Columbia Fireflies before getting promoted to the St. Lucie Mets and Binghamton Rumble Ponies throughout the season.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the minor league season was canceled in 2020, thus preventing Megill from playing that year. To begin 2021, Megill returned to Binghamton, now a member of the Double-A Northeast League. On June 1, he was promoted to the Syracuse Mets of the Triple-A Eastern League after pitching to a 3.12 ERA with Binghamton over 26 innings.
