Kerry Riches was one of the contestant of Big Brother UK 20. She entered the house on day 01. Farida and Kerry received the most nominations and therefore faced the public vote, on day 06. The housemates took part in their first shopping task “Big Bro’s Ltd”, in which the housemates were split into a hierarchal format in an office and had to complete various tasks within the company.

“I love the NHS, I’ve done it for 21 years, it’s a long time and I’ve always said if doors open for this, then I’d gladly walk through them. I’ve been out such a short period of time, I’d love to do anything, I need a job, I’ve got a mortgage to pay.
I would go back to the NHS, it holds such a special place in my heart. I was diagnosed in the NHS, I’ve never been private, I had my son in the NHS. It’s been the only employer I’ve ever known but right now I just need a bit of time off, I’m on a sabbatical, I’m on a career break.
I started my career break in September, I asked for my career break in April and it was accepted even before I knew I was a housemate.
I just needed a bit of time away. Work is stressful and coming out of Covid, it took it’s toll, especially head of patient experience as well, you have to give your whole self to every patient and for 21 years I’ve not given a lot of myself to me.”

Kerry Riches is married and closed to her husband. Her family describe her as “a lot of fun. I’m a bit of a force to be reckoned with. I’m a doer and I’m quite competitive. My husband always says that even my whisper is a normal person’s talking voice.”
