George Springer is a popular American professional baseball outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for the Houston Astros from 2014 to 2020. George Springer Childhood Explored
George Springer’s grandpa, George, was born in Panama and played baseball for four years at Teachers College of Connecticut, where he graduated. As a youngster, Springer attended New Britain Rock Cats games and loved baseball player Torii Hunter, with whom he played catch when he was eight years old.
He’s also a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. Springer has a stutter. It was only after his callup to the big leagues that he began to accept himself and develop new skills for speaking.
Gary Springer has been involved in a variety of projects, including serving as a spokesperson for the Stuttering Association for the Young and organizing an annual bowling benefit in Houston. In the weeks following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Springer took part in a baseball clinic hosted by Matt Barnes at the Newtown Youth Academy, an elementary school-based educational institute in Newtown, Connecticut.
