After Leah made it into the top three and Fritz did not, she immediately fell to her knees then wrapped her arms around him. Fans have long speculated that these two were dating, and after the May 15 episode, Fritz confirmed it.

Following the elimination and the top 3 reveal, Fritz uploaded a beautiful snap of himself with Leah. They made the top three together in season 20, along with Noah Thompson and HunterGirl. At the beginning of Hollywood Week, Fritz and Leah performed a duet. Their bubbly personalities complemented each other as they sang “Locked Out Of Heaven” by Bruno Mars. “Both of you brought out the best in the other one,” Lionel Richie told them at the time. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”
Since then, Fritz and Leah have grown closer as they continued through the competition. Leah will appear in the season 20 finale, which will air on ABC May 22. Fritz and other US Idol season 20 alumni are anticipated to return for the big presentation.
