Damara Holness stood before Judge Rodolfo Ruiz in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday (November 3rd) to announce her guilty plea.

On Wednesday (November 3rd), Damara pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit wire fraud.
The Department of Justice report says she pleaded guilty to “one-count information” charging her with:
“Lying on a coronavirus relief loan application and fraudulently obtaining hundreds of thousands of dollars intended to help small businesses financially survive the Covid-19 pandemic”.
This comes after she lied in order to obtain hundreds of thousands of pounds in coronavirus relief loans.
In June 2021, she received a $300,000 Covid relief PPP loan for her company Holness Consulting Inc by saying she employed 18 people and spent an average of $120,000 each month on payroll.
In reality, she had no employees or payroll expenses, but falsified records to made it seem as though she did in order to recieve the $300,000 loan.

Damara’s sentencing is due to take place on January 20th 2022 at 1:00 p.m in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
If convicted, the Department of Justice reports that she could face up to 20 years in prison.
She could also get a fine of up to $250,000.
