Cush Jumbo OBE, born in Tottenham, London in 1956, is a British actress and screenwriter. She is most notable for her prominent role as attorney Lucca Quinn on the CBS drama series The Good Wife (2015–2016) and The Good Fight (2017–2021), both of which aired on CBS All Access. She was born on born 23 September 1985 in Denmark Hill, London, England. She holds British nationality and belongs to mixed nationality.

Cush Jumbo Career

Cush Jumbo was born to parents Angela (British) and Marx Jumbo (Nigerian) in King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill. She was the second of seven children.

At the age of three, she began taking dance classes, learning tap, ballet, modern, and street dance.

She went on to learn contemporary dance, ballroom dancing, and Latin after that. Adamsrill Primary School in Sydenham was where she studied as a youngster.

She began her professional career at the age of 14, when she attended the BRIT School in Croydon and received a first from the BA (Hons) Acting course at Central School of Speech and Drama.

Before becoming an actress, she considered enrolling in London-based teacher training. Finally, after much consideration, she decided to pursue an acting career.

She resumed her role as Nora in the revival of A Doll’s House in New York City, which opened on October 19, 2013.

In May 2013, she played Nora in A Doll’s House at the Royal Exchange Theatre.

She won a UK Theatre Award for this performance in October 2013.
