Adele Ann Springsteen was best recognized as the mother of Bruce Springsteen who was an American rock singer, songwriter and guitarist who has released 21 studio albums during a career spanning six decades, most of which feature his backing band, the E Street Band. The legendary guitarist announced the death of his mom, Adele Springsteen, in an Instagram post on 1 February 2024. He wrote on Instagram,

“Adele Springsteen – May 4, 1925-January 31, 2024. I remember in the morning mom hearing your alarm clock ring. I’d lie in bed and listen to you getting ready for work, the sound of your makeup case on the sink. And the ladies at the office all lipstick, perfume and rustling skirts, how proud and happy you always looked walking home from work.

It ain’t no phone call on Sunday, flowers or a Mother’s Day card. It ain’t no house on the hill with a garden and a nice little yard. Adele Ann Springsteen (née Zerilli; 1925–2024), was originally from the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a legal secretary and was the main breadwinner in the family.

She was married with Douglas Frederick “Dutch” Springsteen (1924–1998), worked various jobs such as a bus driver. Her husband had mental health issues throughout his life, which worsened in his later years.

Springsteen had two daughters named, Virginia and Pamela (born c. 1962). The latter had a brief acting career, but left to pursue photography and later took photos for his albums Human Touch, Lucky Town, and The Ghost of Tom Joad.

Adele Ann Springsteen Death

Adele Ann Springsteen passed away at the age of 98. Her cause of death has not been determined. Her son, Bruce shared a heartfelt video of his mother dancing in a scenic background. When she was of 95 years, and she had 10 years into Alzheimer in her later years.
