Aaron Carter is an American pop singer who has released five albums in the pop and hip hop genres and has performed on Dancing with the Stars. His breakout single was “I Want Candy.” He has appeared on Dancing with the Stars, the Broadway musical Seussical, the off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks, and made several one-off performances. Aaron Carter is no stranger to addiction and drug use. In fact, in Friday’s episode of The Doctors, the second in his two-part interview where he revealed the long list of prescription medications he takes for his mental health, he also took a drug test which showed positive results.
After Carter tested positive for opiates and stated that he hadn’t used them since 2017, he couldn’t think of how it could be possible. However, after some time passed, he realized that the hydrocodone prescribed to him when “got his teeth done” recently might have been the cause.
“Started when I was about 16,” he said, noting that he “didn’t really touch it until I was about 23, right after I did Dancing with the Stars. And I started going to Staples and Office Depot, and different places, buying it with cash so it wouldn’t be reported on receipts or anything like that, so no one could trace me.”
“What it does to your body physiologically can be just as bad as drugs,” Dr. Stork remarked, adding, “you know how much it can mess you up.”
Carter continued by explaining that the last time he huffed was after he completed rehab in 2017. However, he “relapsed immediately” and drove back to seek more treatment.

Carter had the name ‘Melanie’ tattooed on his forehead. The new, blue art was placed above his right eye in honor of his sister Leslie Carter, who died at the age of 25 from a drug overdose in 2012.
The 34-year-old musician documented a tattoo artist drawing four new face pieces on him in a series of Instagram posts over the weekend, including a giant butterfly tattoo.
In addition to his tattoo tribute to Leslie, Aaron also got the word “Freedom” etched on his forehead, “Karma” above his left eye, and his son Prince’s name under his right eye.
He also wrote on his Instagram, “Life is such a valuable learning lesson, IF you always it to be that. With that being said, this is my body and this tattoo by @tattoo_mike_13 is to commemorate the passing of of my sister Leslie Barbara Carter.. she was an amazing my mother and was nothing more than someone I admired.
