Steve Bannon is a prominent American political strategist, media executive, and former White House chief strategist under President Donald Trump. He is of Irish and German descent. He was born on November 27, 1953, in Norfolk, Virginia. He became the chief executive officer of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, in 2016. He began his career in the U.S. Navy, serving on a destroyer in the late 1970s. In the 2000s, he founded Breitbart News, a far-right news and opinion website that has been criticized for promoting conspiracy theories and white nationalism. His mother name is, Doris (née Herr), a homemaker, and father named, Martin J. Bannon Jr.
Bannon was known for his controversial and nationalist views which he promoted through Breitbart News and in his work with the Trump campaign and administration. His tenure in the White House was short-lived and he was fired in August 2017 amid tensions with other members of the administration.
