Rune Temte In The Last Kingdom
The Last Kingdom is on its last legs now that the fifth and final season has arrived on Netflix.
For a Netflix original, five seasons is remarkable, but there’s little comfort for the show’s loyal, battle-hardened supporters.
The Last Kingdom is based on Bernard Cornwell’s The Saxon Stories novels, which follow Uhtred of Bebbanburg, a warrior.
Despite the fact that he had a name that only a mother could love, the infamous character left an indelible impression on British history and Netflix viewers alike by playing an important part in the country’s inception.
When Netflix officially axed The Last Kingdom on April 30, 2021, it didn’t give a specific cause.
Despite the fact that it’s unusual for Netflix series to surpass the five-year mark, this cancellation came as a shock to fans given how popular it is among long-term viewers.
