Roger Cook is an Australian politician who is the current Deputy Premier of Western Australia, under Mark McGowan. Roger Cook Career
Following in his father’s footsteps, Roger Cook was raised and educated in Perth. He studied public administration at Murdoch University before earning a graduate business diploma and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University.
After leaving Murdoch, Cook got involved in student politics at the university level, serving as a student senator on the senate. He was also part of the founding of the National Union of Students in mid-1986, becoming its first national president while still a member of the National Organisation of Labor Students.

After attending University, Roger Cook worked as a researcher in the offices of several Labor MPs, including Stephen Smith, Jim McGinty, and Chris Evans. From 1999 to 2000, he was state president of the Labor Party.
From 2003 until 2008, Mr Cook was a policy consultant for the Western Australian Aboriginal Native Title Working Group (2003), president of the Yamatji Marlpa Barna Baba Maaja Aboriginal Corporation (2004), and government relations manager for the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (2004). From 2004 until 2008, he served as state manager at CPR, which is partnered with Labor.
