Reuben McKerrow Logan is the son of Gabby Logan who hosted Final Score for BBC Sport from 2009 until 2013. She has also presented live sports events for the BBC. His father Kenny said:
‘Reuben’s a good boy but we became worried. He was fine in certain areas. He could read but he had behaviour problems and his schoolwork was well below attainment levels. He was disruptive and his concentration was poor in the classroom. We spent so much money going to see specialists, who all came back with different answers. At the time we didn’t know what to do with him.’
Reuben had mild dyspraxia, a condition affecting mental and physical co-ordination – and the outcome for him has been so successful that Kenny is currently trying to persuade education chiefs to implement the technique in the country’s worst-performing state schools, to raise attainment levels.
