Lisa Loring was an American actress who rose to fame for her work as a child actress playing Wednesday Addams at six years old on the 1964โ1966 sitcom The Addams Family. On January 28, 2023, at the age of 64, she died as a result of a stroke caused by hypertension, and she was buried at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, the next day. The actress is best known for playing Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family sitcom (1964โ1966). She has been among the cast members of the series since the beginning, and in 1966 she joined the cast of The Pruitts of Southampton, an ABC sitcom based on the Pruitt family of Southampton.
She starred on CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 1980 to 1983. In addition to her role as Cricket Montgomery in As the World Turns, she starred in three B-rate slasher films: Blood Frenzy (1987), Iced (1988), and Savage Harbor (1987). In the early 1960s, Loring was born on the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, a United Nations Trust Territory at the time that was administered by the United States. As a result of both of her parents serving in the United States Navy, and shortly after the birth of her child, they divorced.
Originally from Hawaii, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was a little girl, where she started modeling at the age of three and appeared in an episode of Dr. Kildare, which aired in 1964. When her mother was 34 years old, she died of alcoholism.
