Georgia Hunter is best known for her first book ‘Author of We Were the Lucky Ones’ was inspired by her family reunion in 2000 that opened her eyes to the astounding, untold wartime stories of my grandfather, his parents and his siblings.
In 2008, she started investigating and documenting her family history, which eventually led to the creation of her book, ‘We Were the Lucky Ones’. It has been translated into sixteen languages and has been read by over a million people. Hulu has also decided to adapt it into a limited series after seeing it! She said, ‘Being a part of this production and watching my family’s story come to life on TV excites me.’
She also wrote another book tilted ‘One Good Thing’ which is a story of friendship and motherhood, romance and survival.
