Chris Colfer is an American TV actor who rose to fame after TV series, Glee’s openly gay Kurt Hummel, a role for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2011. He’s also the author behind the Land of Stories series. Colfer was a budding writer from the start. He was “born wanting to be a storyteller,” and his passion for storytelling began when he was young.
His grandmother served as his first editor, assisting and encouraging him in elementary school when he attempted to write a fairytale-inspired novel that would later become The Land of Stories. Chris Colfer was born on May 27, 1990 in Clovis, California. He has two older siblings, Hannah and Clay. His parents are Karyn and Timothy Colfer. Chris graduated from Clovis East High School in 2008. After high school, he attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Chris is best known for his role as Kurt Hummel on the television series Glee (2009-2015). He has also appeared in the films Struck by Lightning (2012), The Little Mermaid Live! (2019), andInferno (2016).
In 2011, Chris published his first novel, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell. He has since published five more novels in The Land of Stories series.
Chris has won numerous awards for his work on Glee, including a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has also been nominated for six Emmy Awards. Chris currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Fans of the series, known as Gleeks, took to social media six months ago when Netflix removed the musical comedy-drama from its streaming service, prompting them to express their sadness and appeal for the program to remain online. It’s possible that licensing issues were a factor in Netflix’s decision to take Glee off the air.
Glee was a hit television series that aired for six seasons from 2009 to 2015 and had over 729 musical performances in total. The show focused on the New Directions glee club at William McKinley High School, touching on such social issues as sexuality, teenage relationships, race, and family.
Glee was a big success, becoming the most-watched show on television during its initial season. It has since earned 19 Emmys, four Golden Globes, and 57 additional honors.
A devoted fan base has emerged as a result of the series, some of whom regularly upload videos to YouTube to re-create musical numbers from it. It appears that these followers will be able to watch their preferred shows once again.
