Alexa Bartell was a citizen based in Colorado. She was driving on Indiana Street, a long stretch of highway in Jefferson County when a large rock was hurled through her windshield, killing her on April 19 at 10:45 p.m. She was speaking to a friend on the phone from her car when she suddenly went silent. A large landscaping rock was found nearby with traces of blood on it. Her car was “the last of a series of vehicles struck by large landscaping rocks in a spree that began shortly after 10:00 p.m. that night at 100th and Simms in Westminster.”

For the murder of Alexa Bartell, Joseph Koenig, 20, Nicholas Karol-Chik, 18 and Zachary Kwak, 18 were charged with murder in the horrifying attack. After the incident, Cops said the trio returned to the scene of their handiwork later that night and snapped sadistic pictures of Bartell’s damaged vehicle.
