Rod Rondeaux Acting Highlights
In the 2015 movie “Mekko,” Rondeaux had his first big role as a man who was imprisoned for murder and served 19 years. After being released, he discovers that his family has refused to acknowledge him. He must face reality.
In addition, he must also cope with a violent individual. On the night before the production began, director Sterlin Harjo selected Rondeaux for the part. Having spoken to the actor a few times, Harjo had high confidence in him. He felt he had the appropriate life experience for the role because to his rodeo bull riding and Hollywood stuntman background.
Dennis Harvey, a film critic from Variety, gave high praise to Rod Rondeaux’s “soulful performance” in Babak Jalali’s 2018 film Land. Saying that the film was reminiscent of two other classic films set on skid row, On the Bowery (1956) and The Exiles (1961). This isn’t Rondeaux’s only work in 2018 though, as he also had a role Susanna White’s Woman Walks Ahead.
