Jason Citron is the CEO and co-founder of Discord which is an instant messaging and VoIP social platform which allows communication through voice calls, video calls, text messaging, and media and files. Discord employs 600 people globally, in March 2022.
He was the founder of both Guildwork, another social gaming network and OpenFeint, a social gaming platform for mobile games, alongside Stanislav Vishnevskiy. Citron used the US$104 million he received from the sale of OpenFeint to GREE in 2011 to launch the game production company Hammer & Chisel in 2012.
