Faria Alam was born on 13 February 1966 in Dhaka, East Pakistan who is a British citizen. She attended Ponteland High School and is best known for her role as the former Football Association secretary. Her mother brought her to Bangladesh when she was nineteen years old and set up her marriage to a physician. After divorcing, Faria Alam went back to England.
‘Faria Alam Affair’ Scandal Explained
Faria Alam was on Celerity Big Brother in 2006. She started working as an administrator and modelling before accepting a position at The Football Association’s Soho Square, London, headquarters as executive director David Davies’ personal assistant in July 2003.
Her affairs with both Mark Palios and Sven-Goran Eriksson caused a lot of public attention especially because Eriksson was already in a relationship with Nancy Dell’Olio. The media extensively covered the scandal about Alam. When her affairs came to the attention of the public in August 2004, a media scrum ensued and she resigned her post.
When she quit her position with the FA, she was hired by publicity agency Max Clifford and he also arranged numerous deals for Alam, who received an estimated £400,000 for publishing kiss-and-tell tales. Alam was paid a further £150,000 for a television interview.
She made allegations against the Football Association of sexual harassment, unjust dismissal, and breach of contract, in Oct 2004. Her claims were rejected by an industrial tribunal, in Sep 2005.
She testified in the News International phone hacking scandal, in 2013. In June 2004, her phone had been hacked by Glenn Mulcaire, a private investigator working on behalf of the News of the World.

Faria Alam is leading a private life. She moved to the UK and her family settled in London, Manchester, Bradford and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Faria Alam Appeared In Big Brother 2006
Alam made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in January of 2006. She stated that the viewers would “never let a black or Asian win”. She was the second housemate to be evicted on January 18, 2006.
After coming from the show, she played a hitwoman in the film Cash and Curry, in 2006. She stated about the role in an interview, “It was a role that presented itself to me and I took it on as one of life’s experiences”.
