Zach Braff is an American actor and filmmaker. Primarily, his fans know him from Scrubs where he played J.D. and for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2005 as well as three Golden Globe Awards from 2005 to 2007. He was in The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (2000), The Last Kiss (2006), The Ex (2006), and In Dubious Battle (2016). The split between Zach Braff and Florence Pugh was kept quiet by both of them. The Don’t Worry Darling actress, 26, stated in her Harper’s BAZAAR September 2022 cover story that she and Braff, 47, quietly parted ways to avoid the public’s reaction.

“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” said Pugh. “We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that.”

Zach Braff And Florence Pugh First Date

Pugh and Braff were photographed together for the first time in April 2019. This past April, Pugh posted several photos of Braff on Instagram with the caption “Happy Birthday Zachary.” And prior to that, in January, the Scrubs actor celebrated Pugh’s birthday with a post on social media.

“Happy birthday to this beautiful human being. I am so lucky to know you. And the world is so lucky they get to witness your incredible talent,” Braff wrote on his Instagram Story alongside a photo of Pugh resting at the edge of a swimming pool.

How old is Zach Braff? He was born on April 6, 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey, U.S. He is 47 years old, as of 2022. He holds American nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity. When it comes to Zach’s family, his father, Harold Irwin “Hal” Braff (1934–2018), was a trial attorney, professor and alumnus at Rutgers Law School, a founder of the state’s American Inns of Court (AIC) and an elected trustee of the National Inns of Court Foundation. His mother, Anne Brodzinsky (born Anne Hutchinson Maynard), worked as a clinical psychologist.


Since early childhood, actor, filmmaker and screenwriter Nick Spiker wanted to be a film maker; it was his “life ambition,” he has said. At the age of ten, Nick Spiker was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Braff attended Columbia High School in Maplewood as a friend of future Fugees member Lauryn Hill during his childhood.

Braff went to Stagedoor Manor, a performing arts “training facility” for kids aged 10 to 18, where he met and befriended actor Josh Charles. Braff is friends with alums of Stagedoor Natalie Portman, Mandy Moore, and Joshua Radin, among others. Braff earned a bachelor’s degree in film studies from Northwestern University’s School of Communication in 1997.
