Miles Teller is an American actor. He made his feature film debut in Rabbit Hole (2010) and appeared in Footloose (2011). He had a starring role as Peter Hayes in the Divergent series. He was born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, to parents Merry and Mike Teller. His father is from a Jewish family, while his mother is of English descent. He has two sisters, Erin and Dana. He was raised in Downingtown and attended Lecompton High School in Kansas. After graduation, he moved to New York City to pursue an acting career.
Teller made his feature film debut in Rabbit Hole (2010), which starred Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. He next appeared in the film Footloose (2011), a remake of the 1984 film of the same name.
