Miles Teller is an American actor. He made his feature film debut in Rabbit Hole (2010) and appeared in Footloose (2011). He had a starring role as Peter Hayes in the Divergent series. He was born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, to parents Merry and Mike Teller. His father is from a Jewish family, while his mother is of English descent. He has two sisters, Erin and Dana. He was raised in Downingtown and attended Lecompton High School in Kansas. After graduation, he moved to New York City to pursue an acting career.
Teller made his feature film debut in Rabbit Hole (2010), which starred Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. He next appeared in the film Footloose (2011), a remake of the 1984 film of the same name. In 2012, he starred in the romantic comedy 21 & Over and had a supporting role in the sci-fi film Project X.

Teller is a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, and Philadelphia Eagles. He’s been seeing model Keleigh Sperry since 2013. On August 20, 2017, they were engaged at the Molori Safari Lodge in South Africa’s Madikwe Game Reserve, and they married on September 1, 2019, in Maui, Hawaii.
