How Do I Return A Gift From Amazon?
It was a wonderful Christmas when family and friends came together to celebrate the holidays, exchange presents, and eat delicious food. Here’s how to return an item you obtained on Amazon.
According to Amazon, the Returns Center allows gift recipients to return items that were given as a present at the time of purchase. However, the type of refund or credit you receive depends on how you obtained the present and whether it is returned. Recipients will not be able to exchange or get an instant refund.
Simply go to the Returns Center using a computer or laptop browser and sign in to or create an Amazon account to return a gift.
When you click continue, you’ll be asked to select the items and number of goods that you want to return. After selecting a reason from the drop-down list, click submit for your return request. When you submit a return request for items purchased from a third-party seller, you’ll see the message “Submit return request” if Amazon sellers review return requests before authorizing them.
Finally, choose your return shipping options and how you’ll get a return label, each return needs its own return label. Find out more about Amazon’s gift returns policy on the company’s website.

What If I Can’t Find My Receipt?
On your packing slip or the digital gift receipt sent to you by Amazon, look for your 17-digit order number (or Order ID). Contact Amazon if you can’t find your packaging slip or digital gift receipt but have the tracking number from the shipping box.
If you can’t find the order ID or tracking number, your best bet is to ask the person who received the gift to contact Amazon directly.
Extended Returns Policy Explained
According to Amazon, all return-able items weighing less than 50 pounds have at least one free return option, with certain exceptions.
Amazon’s extended returns policy, which allows customers to return items within 90 days of purchase and receive a full refund, will apply throughout the holiday season.
For the 2021 holiday season, Amazon has enabled most of the items purchased between 1 November and 31 December to be returned until 31 January 2022.
