Heather Sneddon is the second wife of Michael Jayston who was an English actor. He played Nicholas II of Russia in the film Nicholas and Alexandra (1971). He also played Peter Guillam in the 1979 miniseries Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, the Valeyard in all fourteen episodes of the 1986 Doctor Who serial The Trial of a Time Lord and Raquel’s father, James, in the 1996 Only Fools and Horses episode “Time on Our Hands”.
He has died aged 88 after a ‘short illness’ on February 5, 2024 leaves behind his family and his current wife Ann Smithson. His first wife was Lynn Farleigh who was an English actress of stage and screen. In 1962, she made her first professional appearance and also played Amanda in The Relapse, August 1968, and Portia in Julius Caesar, November 1968.

Heather Sneddon tied knot with Michael Jayston, in 1970. After seven of marriage, couple divorced in 1977. He had three children with Heather Sneddon. He lived in Hove, Sussex.
Unlike her famous ex-husband, Heather never worked in entertainment, so not much is known about her. The actor’s agent announced his death on behalf of his current wife Anne and family. A statement about Michael’s tragic death read as,
‘It is with great sadness, that I have been asked by his family to share the news, Michael Jayston sadly passed away this morning after a short illness.
Those who knew Michael will know he was full of love, laughs and happiness. He adored meeting his fans all over the world. His family and friends would appreciate privacy at this time.’

How many times was he married?
Michael Jayston was married three times. His first marriage was with Lynn Farleigh. They married in 1965 but divorced in 1970. Lynn, an actor, joined the Royal Shakespeare Company shortly after their marriage and performed for 40 years.
She played Nora White, Carl and Adam White’s mother, on EastEnders from 2013 to 2014. Michael married Heather Sneddon after his divorce from Lynn. They married in 1971 and divorced in 1977. Little is known about her because she wasn’t in showbiz.
